When that Lexus went across the mud and through the sign, all I could think about was “the front fell off”, “that’s not very typical, I’d like to make that point”

When that Lexus went across the mud and through the sign

I thought “Is that poo on the camera lens?” Well, turned out that they used a bag of fertilizer as a weight to hold the sign in place but the fact that I seriously believed at some point that the mud on the lens is poo just exemplifies how much of a parody of a real motor race Petit Le Mans looked to me. Has it always been that way? As so many, I only started watching it because of the hypercar harmonization with WEC and for example I still don’t get the points system where people get trophies just because they start a race…

Oh sorry, I’m the wrong person to ask about how the points work. I enjoy casually watching sports car races, but don’t really follow the class and points systems

Did you see the MX-5 races? I saw the one Friday, and IMO that was way more entertaining than the Petit
