I was there, thousands years ago, when they first started on gimp 3 developement.
I hope this is a Blender moment for gimp, because I can’t use anything else, and gimp 2 is only barely usable enough at this point.
I really like what they’re doing to GIMP lately and I am looking forward to 3.0!
With how terrible Adobe has been lately, I’m looking forward to fully dropping them in favor of GIMP altogether.
Can it please get a name change with version 3.0?

If they entirely ditched the weird animal(?) mascot I’d be all over that shit. The design pisses me off and from the day I first learned about the gimp while fucking around on my mailed CD ubuntu install, that logo has been the one thing that bothers me enough to use literally anything else instead. Honestly actually the name too but changing the name and not the character logo would not help.
Reading this makes me think you have other, bigger problems going on. So why even bother to post such a comment? Reminds me of this
