I think it’s important to highlight that he’s requesting funds to travel to the location for further investigation. I wanted to maintain transparency with this post, as this kind of request could understandably raise red flags for some people.
This bears a resemblance to the reported events in Colares, Pará, Brazil, which are more commonly referred to as Operation Plate.

I was recently made aware of the Magé event in 2020, Brazil seems to be uniquely active the last few years. One rumor from the Magé incident was that military leaks said the activity in the area was on the rise.
