How the hell do you explain this to a new job or your parole officer? “Someone drugged me with weed and I didn’t know! I swear!”
This could mess up some people’s lives

Refried beans, rice, sirachcha, and too much mayo. Sometimes I eat it with bread like a sad sack sandwich.
Didn’t Sparta have a similar belief as far as honoring women who died in childbirth equally to men who died in battle?
The background companies we go through here in the US aren’t “random people” and you sign a release of that information for them when they start that background check. So you’ve given them permission to access that info on you. I don’t know what HRs your dealing with but if it’s random hiring managers asking you then they have no idea what’s in a typical background check anyway.
Most big background check service companies are checking your criminal history directly with the court houses of where you’ve told them you’ve lived. Many will also verify your past employment directly with those companies as well. Depending on the company/job title they may also be checking your credit score/bankruptcy history or verifying degrees with universities as well. They don’t care about what data brokers have on you because they’re getting verification on things directly from official sources.
I don’t know if you’re worried that your too “locked down” privacy wise for a background check to clear? I wouldn’t worry because if you’re using your countries equivalent of a SSN and living “on the grid” but not online at all they’ll still be able to get the info they need/want anyway. I’ve had employees who didn’t even have emails or own phones/computers clear background.
Isn’t there literally a German fairy tale about someone able to make straw into gold?
There is some evidence that Nepal (and maybe India?) are having their youth lured into forced mercenary work. They’re traveling there for other work and then essentially being kidnapped and pressed into service. Nepal’s been warning its citizens about these schemes for months now.
Trump already doesn’t listen to any voice but his own.
A lot of nuts are very high water usage crops. It’s a gallon per almond but almost five for a walnut.
The name of the rose. The movies…fine, I guess. The books at least 300 pages too long and frequently segues into long-winded discussion of the political minutiae of the warring monastic orders during the reign of Pope John XXII.
If you want to read about the time period you’ll be annoyed by the murder mystery shoehorned into your dry long winded historical fiction. If you wanted a murder mystery set in a historical setting then you’ll be annoyed by the history lesson being shoved down your throat like a dehydrated fig newton.
So it’s actually the Military that’s in charge of Thailands government. Its a constitutio al Monarchy much like England but the ruling government has been the Military for around 10 years now. The Kings mostly a figurehead just like King Charles. The last King of Thailand was so popular that he could significantly influence the people if he chose, the current King is largely seen as a useless playboy.
Thailand does have a lese majeste law which makes it illegal to insult the King. They are not the only country with such a law, ex. Germany has a similar law making it illegal to criticize the president (though it seems to be largely unused) and Denmark has a law preventing the ridicule of its Monarchs.
So it’s the Military that’s trying to oust an upstart civilian governmental party/movement. They seem to be using the lese majesty laws as an excuse to oust their rivals. I’m not sure just how effective it’ll be since the current King isn’t very well liked. Then again I’m sure they’re running their propaganda beside pictures of the late King who was beloved. Someone with closer ties to Thailand may be able to tell us how receptive people seem to be to this move.
I use to bring these on hikes and field exercises. It does have a lot of sodium but if you want something cheap, light weight, and on the calorie heavy side dry Ramen is great!
I thought maybe it was just me! I feel like everytime I try to scroll my screen goes haywire and there’s no telling what it’ll do: like the post? Dislike the post? Open a reply?
I’m not sure the CEOs actually thought growth would continue like that forever. They just knew they could get rid of all the extra people they hired when it slowed. The layoffs were always part of the plan, they just didn’t say that quiet part out loud back in 2020.
The family is Canadian
I was part of a small study in the army that attempted to teach us land nav using our preferred “style” (no idea if the study got published). They gave us a test to determine if we learned directions better through landmarks or directions. Overwhelmingly it was landmarks. The US army is also largely made up of men.
I know this is all anecdotal but when lost in the woods most men and women that I know default to landmarks. Older generations of men who were in the military were probably taught to navigate mostly via directions (i.e. compass directions) which may be where the preference/stereotype came from in past generations.
Are there any lawyers taking on cases like this? Cause I’d consider donating to a patreon if someone was out there fighting the good fight
It may have not been done before because some people don’t trust even the most basic of automation. I once cut a 2+ hour task to 5 minutes using count and vlookup (I’m not even good at excel it was just stupid easy to do). I was reprimanded and told to do it manually because they “don’t trust excel will do it correctly”. But you do trust I will manually count hundreds of lines correctly without making a mistake? Me using a calculator (handheld calculator) to count cells in excel is the most accurate way to do this? This was a global company BTW, not some podunk mom and pop. Make it make sense…
Some Asian countries also have a weird thing for Hitler.

I can confirm the military still takes its drug tests seriously. If a soldier ate that pizza and got drug tested (military loves a surprise drug test) they could have gotten in very serious career ending levels of trouble.
