The way he announced it and responded to the critics very much made it seem like that. He legitimately needs to shut the fuck up and get a PR person to talk in his stead.

Can’t possibly be denser than Elon.
It looks really good, not quite as good as Vivaldi but hopefully it gets there. One thing that bothers me is the CPU requirement, that is bonkers, you can’t run a browser if you don’t have a decently modern CPU?
Technical Death Metal. Depending of the band you get this ridiculously crazy and sophisticated instrumentalism and polyrhythmic beats like Archspire, other times you get more progressive, experimental groups like Blood Incantation that mix and match genres and soundscapes.
In fact, the newest album from Blood Incantation is a good example of that, one moment you’re listening to fast blast beats and then it suddenly takes a hard turn into pink floyd and slowly starts crescendoing back into fast Death Metal over the next couple of minutes. It’s an absurd aural experience to say the least, but I really like experimental music that pushes boundaries even when it doesn’t totally work.
The idea of extinction periodicity has been criticised due to the fact that the hypothesis assumes that most or all extinction events have the same cause, when evidence suggests that extinctions are likely the result of a variety of causes that are unlikely to be cyclically induced.[8]
Once you realize that only one mass extinction has happened due to a meteorite it kind of becomes obvious it’s a bogus theory.
I’m using it already. Something must be wrong on my end if that’s not the intended behavior.
I’ll preface this by saying I’m using Droidify instead of the main app, but I’m pretty sure it’s enabled. In fact, let me double check… Yep, it is. Either my phone is fucked or I’m doing something wrong, because it always asks me to confirm updates.
On Android 14 and this is not my experience at all, I still have to confirm every single update on my phone, they download in the background alright but then I need to go one by one and confirm it.
For real, I’ve saved a countless amount of money on games by using this site for the last decade or so. If you’re gaming on PC and you don’t already use it (or something similar) then you’re doing yourself (and your wallet) a massive disservice.
I used to go on Twitch all the time like 10 or so years ago, but nowadays I rarely go there anymore. Most of the streamers I enjoyed either quit or got too big and/or corporate, and their chats are just meme and emote spam nowadays so I don’t even bother with it in case I do end up watching them.
I do watch smaller streamers from time to time, the interaction is much better, but nowadays I prefer to watch VODs so I can skip parts or rewind and so on, it’s just a better experience overall for me.
Regarding your question, why delete your account? I mean, if you don’t plan on ever using the website again, sure, but otherwise why not just keep it in case?
Time for an invasion, boys! First Costa Rica and then Iceland!
I think its history, particularly ancient is fascinating.
Browser, I guess? Without one you’d be back to early 1990s home computing.
Sure, but there are those who say Moraes is overstepping with his demands. Quite frankly I don’t know what to say, all I know is that any loss for Musk is a win for me.
🤷♂️
Elon is trying to enforce his views over Brazil’s law. To force a crisis IMHO.
He’s trying to see how far he can push his bullshit.
There is, the “Marco Civil da Internet” states that a business that works in Brazil needs to respect Brazil’s law, and non compliance may trigger block in it’s service by ruling.
That’s the thing though, to my knowledge Twitter didn’t break any laws, they ignored an order to take down accounts from their website. You could make the argument that in ignoring that order they were going against the law, but that’s about it. And honestly, that’s not the first time that has happened, this time they just decided to block Twitter because Musk was being a little shit about it, again maybe this will serve as a precedent in the future.
Libertarianism is a right-wing ideology though, it’s pro corporate deregulation and lasseiz-faire capitalism. If you’re pro individual freedom, but opposed to right-wing ideas then the closest thing you can be is an Anarchist.
Ok, but there isn’t anything in the Brazilian body of law that says social media needs to have legal representation in the country to be functional, otherwise TikTok, Reddit and even Lemmy would’ve been blocked long ago, that’s the argument being made. That said, nothing like this has ever happened before, so maybe this could serve as a precedent for a new series of legislations.
Honestly, I have mixed feelings on this. On the one hand, that’s the government reaching waaaay beyond what it should without any real laws to back it up, on the other hand, fuck Musk and if this is what it takes to keep gullible people off nazifascist misinformation and propaganda then 🤷♂️.
Kojima is a clown.
