This is absolutely terrible. Besides the privacy/anonymity factor, VPNs are also used to access geoblocked content. Some autocratic regimes ban a lot of valuable resources on the internet because they want to control people’s access to information. This is only going to help the people in power.

I don’t give it much time until they start replacing the mods if the blackout drags on for long.
