It’s essentially just saying “God is always right, accept that”

I wouldn’t say they’re equivalent. Obviously beating a fly isn’t as bad as beating a dog or a pig. But is beating a human much worse than beating a dog? For me it comes down to capacity to suffer I guess.

Haven’t you been told that we don’t talk about that kind of oppression here? Everyone knows that mistreatment of humans is bad, but mistreatment of animals is just how things are supposed to be. They are just lesser beings after all, and such kind of thinking hasn’t lead to anything bad in history, so it’s not at all problematic.

Progressivism is about fighting oppression when it suits you, and meat is just soo convenient. The mega corps promised that nothing bad is happening there, so praise the factory farms!

But that breeds diseases like avian flu and swine flu that will eventually kill loads of humans when they become human transmissible. It’s all just a bit delayed this time.

After extracting the protein and nutrients for plant-based products there’s not much nutrition left to use it as animal feed though. It’s probably not nutritionally appropriate for cows, pigs and chickens at that point. Using it for insect farming would seem more realistic to me, or as a growth medium for edible mushrooms.

Using it to make plant-based meat alternatives or tofu or soy milk would be more efficient than feeding it to animals, where most of the nutrients and calories are used up by their metabolism.

Mods always used to be passion projects by volunteers, motivated purely by the love for the game and the community and the vision of the mod. This is what made the modding scene special to many. Is it really suprising that people are sad to see this culture being changed by monetization now, especially if they suddenly can’t afford mods?
