I work as a barista and get much too annoyed by people ordering a “regular coffee”.

Like I know that 99.999% of the time they mean a drip/filter coffee (excluding that one lady that one time who was surprised I didn’t parse “regular coffee” as a latte), but like can you just say drip coffee? Or even simply “coffee”!

I honestly don’t even know why it annoys me this much.

I used to do social media for a small theatre company. I would have adored this rather than constantly fighting with the atrocity that is Meta Business Suite.

Not only is it more readable and aesthetically-pleasing, singular “they” is more inclusive of people outside the gender binary!

Singular “they” actually predates singular “you”.

I’m pretty sure you need to install it using “CA certificate” rather than the “VPN and app user certificate” option.

I find it so cool that you’ve been vegan for 24 years, as a younger vegan (7 years) I thank you for suffering through groceries with one brand of soy milk and maybe some tofu (if you’re lucky) so that we can live in this world were I have access to vegan fudgesicles at the local grocery store.

I’m curious though, because veganism has definitely been a point of contention in my past few relationships; how do you and your wife manage meals? Do you do separate meals, or is it more of a “she’s vegan at home” type situation?

Another issue is how much easier it is to up your nicotine content. When my little brother started vaping, he went up to the equivalent of a pack of smoke’s worth of nicotine per day within a couple of months.

Whereas I, who got addicted to nicotine the old fashioned way, took a couple years before I was smoking a pack a day, because otherwise I would have been coughing my lungs out.

Vapes are as tightly controlled as cigarettes (at least here in Canada).

The issue is that cigarettes aren’t as tightly regulated as you’d think. Pretty much every town has that one spot where local teens know they won’t get carded for nicotine products.

Because a lot of Canadians are racist, also people have somehow been convinced that the housing crisis and the lousy job market are the fault of foreign students and immigrants rather than the fault of landlords and other disgustingly rich people.

As for issues, the only one I’ve heard really people complain about is the lack of Google Pay. I’ve never used it so it doesn’t make any difference for me. Apparently, some banking apps have issues on GrapheneOS too, but both my banks’ apps work fine.
