I really like this bot.
I really like this bot.
I am not replacing it.
I have already done it few weeks ago.
You call us insane but you don’t want to be harsh? I wonder what would you call people that are not panicking at even a possibility that anything personal becomes public if you were trying to be harsh.
On a more serious note, I am happy that people like you exist that care about privacy as it benefits everyone overall I guess. But you have to remember that some people, like me, don’t have issues with having their opinions and even some personal data public as long as we are aware that this is the case (which is how I treat all the social media).
For instance, durning my Reddit 7-year tenure I always wrote my comments in a way that if suddenly my employers or friend brought it up, I would not be ashamed of what I wrote.
I am not saying it’s not good to think and discuss about things like that but I would appreciate if you didn’t call people insane that have a very different attitude to you if it comes to internet privacy.
Some people freak out about internet privacy, GMO, sweeteners causing cancer, etc. There are others that don’t.
People might also ask you to provide further justification of your comment. In both cases you can either engage in a civil manner, tell them to eat a bag of dicks or just ingore.
This is exactly the right attitude
And yet, that was not due to the likes and dislikes being visible but your comment. I still don’t see the difference in potential of harassment due to likes being visible versus comments.
I have a 7 year old Reddit account with 38k karma and I was never pursued or harrassed by anyone (a part from some heated exchanges in comments which I abandoned once I grew tired of them).
Radioactive? Honestly, some people are never satisfied and really like to constantly complain, don’t they?
What privacy threat? How is your privacy suddenly exposed by your like or dislike on the post as opposed to this comment?
Well, I disagree. Redditsms, or whatever you call them, among other things helped to make reddit as popular as it is (was) right now.
I get you don’t like it personally, but your personal opinion about them being cringe, while respectable, is not a fact.
Damn, our bean downvoting boys keep getting exposed.
For me, it makes so much sense. Likes and dislikes, besides serving as a means of sorting posts and comments, also serve as a shortcut for leaving a comment saying, “This^” or “I disagree.”
I respect your right to be wrong about the bean meme.
Now we know who are the people stalling the liftoff of the bean’s meme to the stratosphere.
I am Polish but I have not lived in Poland for long time. There are some comments of people being scammed etc. which I have no reasons to doubt.
However, on the other hand, UK stag dos in Poland (especially in Krakow) are notorious for being a nuisance for the locals. I feel like as long as you and your mates behave like just a decent bunch lof lads without causing disturbances and issues and are careful of potential scams (which would be easier of course if you are not absolutely wasted and/or drugged) then you should have a great night. Which I hope you do as Kraków is a great city, in fact if you have time to actually walk around and visit it I would strongly recommend it.
Have fun!
EDIT: If you need help with anything Polish related while you are there hit me up.
Daymn straight!
