Also, Ninite pro tip:
Do not delete the Ninite exe. If you want to update all your apps later at once, just double click on the. exe again and Ninite will download & update all the installed apps and skip those that don’t have any updates.
If you are looking for native Lemmy apps for Windows, I don’t know if they exist.
But here is an awesome updated list of webapps available for Lemmy: The Great Big List of Lemmy Apps
You can create a shortcut for them on your desktop. These are fast and minimal and have different styles. There is one webapp in there that is very similar to the old[dot]reddit site.
There’s also 12ft.io
I have my instance PWA shortcut created with Firefox. Lemmy-UI is just perfect.
Yep. Eternity is great.
I’ve been a long time Relay user, so it was difficult for me to adjust with the different Lemmy apps. But I’ve customized Eternity enough that I’m liking it now.
I’m using this Ponyo theme & it’s awesome.
I’m not sure there exist any.
Last time I checked, this was actually the biggest criticism Google recieved. They were pushing RCS on Apple, yet keeping it proprietarily only available on Google Messages.
Maybe it has changed. I don’t know.
Latest update I heard was that they made it ON by default in Google Messages.
I’m trying this. Is very smooth!
(aside from the incident)
???
LemmyUI is great. I’ve using it until recently I settled on using Eternity.
I’m loving it. Just to confirm: The last update was three weeks ago, right? I hope the dev continuous on working this.
Great video though.
I’ve been trying this for 2 days now. I would say this works. The simple, boring thumbnails do not trick my brain into clicking the video.
if I lose the patch of my YT again
You can export/import:
Settings > Export patches selection
Profile Picture > Settings > ReVanced Extended > Miscellaneous > Import/Export > Export settings
Profile Picture > Settings > Sponsor Block > (scroll all the way down) > Import/Export > (select and copy all the text) > (save this copied text in a text file OR pin it in your keyboard's clipboard) > (Now Go to new app and paste in Import)
I switched from ReVanced Extended (RVX) to ReX using my exported settings. Doing it this way makes switching APKs a breeze.
Alternative Thumbnails is a feature available in the latest ReX patches.
ReX is a fork of the discontinued Revanced Extended project, which in itself was a fork of the official Revanced project.
I applied these patches using the Revanced Extended Manager on YouTube 18.33.37

Here it is in action:
I did know know that DeArrow was a paid service.
DeArrow is a similar extension from the creator of SponsorBlock. It’s suggestions for the title and thumbnail are crowdsourced as opposed to being randomised in the case of ClickBait Remover.
Nice! UnHook removes YouTube recommended videos, related videos, comments, video suggestions wall, homepage recommendations, trending tab & comments
There are some awesome suggestions made by people here. Never heard before extensions that may come handy someday, that would otherwise require third party apps to do the same task.
Also, save the following two posts as well. I didn’t notice similar posts were already created earlier.
Hmm. I need to try containers then.
Isn’t Firefox open source? So isn’t it possible that anyone could see the changes being made even in the nightly versions? I’m not a programmer so forgive my ignorance.
