I have the same problem with the machines at my apartment. Actually, I think it’s worse because it’s not supposed to be an estimate; you pay based on time and you set the time yourself. I set the dryer to 45 minutes and it sometimes takes up to an hour and a half. At least it isn’t charging me for the extra time.

Because they have enough people that they can just start climbing each other to get there? 🤔

As more of an outside observer here:

When I was still using Reddit, it looked like most people in that community were just running personal home media servers using basic as fuck raspberry pi setups or just old hardware that could handle it, like maybe a modded Xbox or something.

Here on Lemmy, it looks more like you’re all actual networking specialists hosting damn near everything from home automation to business-level server systems for your home business. You guys are serious; Reddit isn’t. Respect.

This describes 90% of the user base on Grindr in my area.

I just taught myself by playing around with the program years ago. I think it even has built in video links to learn, these days. The official website has resources like that to help, too.

It can certainly make you feel sick if you have no tolerance for it and take a big dose. Especially in edible form. You can get the same kind of “sick” like being too drunk off weed. Even as a daily smoker for years, the first time I tried wax I got the spins hella bad.

It’s like a mental HUD. Sometimes there’s even an internal monologue like the enclopedia checks in Disco Elysium; though it’s my voice, not that cool narrator’s voice.

Maybe I’m an oddball here, being just a hobbyist and not an actual engineer doing things, like, mathematically or whatever; I just use Blender and fiddle around until I have shapes I want, export that to a format my slicer can read and then the slicer does all the other actual work of making it printable.

It would be easy as hell to take a spheroid, make it football shaped, and then hollow out the middle and cut off both ends, then go and punch out holes to make the mesh pattern. At least in Blender.

It’s very unlikely to brute force modern encryption; but you might get lucky and crack it after only 3 or 4 tries. Just because there are 18 quadrillion+ possible permutations, doesn’t mean you have to go through all of them before you find the right solution.
