This year I finally snapped (pun intended!), and moved to debian 12 on the desktop (after starting on Ubuntu 6.06). It’s so familiar, but somehow more straight forward. Things “just work”, as opposed to the constant niggles I had with Ubuntu.

Why go to the effort of buying something, just to destroy it, and make it something different? Surely the brand isn’t strong enough to make it through such massive change?

I’m going with the concensus of butter, marmite and cheese. But, if available, use the chilli marmite (dynamite) to make it top drawer.
Can’t say I’ve ever struggled with normal Cattle grids on my bike - I suppose in the rain they can be a bit sketchy, but go faster, and it’s more stable!
