He forgot to gold plate his Tesla, that’s why.
It’s funny that the term they ingratiated themselves with is derived from expatriate, which generally is several times more concerning than the term immigrant because of how it much more closely implies relinquishing nationality. Or just from how the wording sounds - ex, or no longer being, a patriot - although it is on par with how much more “American” some people seem to consider sovereign citizens being than democrats.
The ridiculousness of a nation of immigrants to recognize that they have their own immigrants with their own goals and obstacles has led to the absurd and abusive treatment of the people termed “Accidental Americans” outside of the US.
Dey be takin ur NASA!
JS is like a disease where it does not need to be. I would honestly welcome an Internet alternative that was all web 1.0 (with up-to-date security updates and methods). There’s good uses for it in interactive websites that provide cloud services, but most of it is fud and breaks the whole notion of HTTP GET URLs you can just share and cache.
Thank you for deciding what was better for us, we would have been so wrong without you. /s
The eventual outcome of the slippery slope that comes from justifying colonial interests that were legitimized in cooperation with the Nazis under the Haavara Agreement under the vise of religion.
I like how we’ve gone from looking at the huge garbage patches in our oceans to the amount of microplastic in a drop of water. I don’t see it as a material issue, you pick a material and with enough quantity it will pollute. It is a consumer society issue. But maybe it will be easier to change consumer society by dangling the microplastic threat effect so the actual cause can be treated - wait, the psychopaths in CEO positions would lose money then, never mind.
It probably depends on your account. If they don’t think you are trying to game their system and you are a deep pocket consumer, they probably won’t put up too much of a fight, they’d rather keep you hooked.
Wait, so you got charged a year later after returning it? They only issue refunds when it has been sent back, so they are charging you for their own inventory mismanagement, or worse.
This always ends up being the ending of any such sites. All you have to search for is “Glassdoor” and “sued” to see why.
It doesn’t surprise me. I live in a “first past the post” country that forces a two-party system and penalizes voting your conscience unless it aligns with one of those parties. While there may be flaws in Ranked Choice Voting that could emerge in fringe cases, it is so obviously superior to our current system that it is hard for me to worry about the nuance of how it might not be 100% perfect 100% all of the time. Any (democratic) system is better than what we have now, even if it involves come bot casually stealing comments. 🙃
But then the problem isn’t with all plastics, it’s with certain plastics, and around 70% of global plastic production are concentrated around commodity plastics, all of which are thermoplastic. The greatest degradation issue occurs with biodegradable plastics, which is perceived as a good thing for them, though even biodegradable PLA has toxicity concerns.
I personally would prefer us to accept that plastics aren’t really recyclable. It’s better to move towards renewable plastics
Err … getting mixed signals …
What you are describing is exposure. There are plenty of build with 100% recycled plastic, so not sure where you are getting that 30%. I think you are perhaps thinking of the marketing material of PLA filaments that sell themselves as particularly ecofriendly because they include recycled materials, while I’m talking about builds made entirely out of things like recycled water bottles, which are made out of PET. PLA is more susceptible to exposure to sunlight, heat, and moisture, so rather than using it to hold beverages at that point you might want to skip plastic entirely. PLA itself is not recycled that much, but it is more biodegradable.
Depends on what you consider degraded, the only reason it would stop being recyclable is if it became too contaminated with foreign substances or exposure, which applies to anything.
How is it difficult to recycle? The temperatures requires to do so are less than metal, the 3D printing communities has people that recycle them into filaments all the time. I don’t think the problem is the plastic so much as it is how it is still treated as a disposable container and that neither companies nor governments pay for or provide reclamation means like recycling machines that pay for each bottle collected. In other words, the problem is more cultural than material.
I got one of these emails. It isn’t even MFA, nothing to reply with the code to. It doesn’t even say which Microsoft account, it sent it to my GMail recovery account. It’s so utterly bad not being able to trace the attempt to its source. It’s sus that I’m not the only one to have recently experienced this out of nowhere. Maybe it’s an attempt to farm valid Microsoft emails from the way this service behaves?
To be fair, not much of a demand for such a permanent cure in leading profit driven health care systems where diabetes medicine is gold. How about MSN? https://www.msn.com/en-us/health/other/world-s-first-diabetes-cure-with-cell-therapy-achieved-in-china/ar-BB1n7cNA
Though one does well to be skeptical yet.
It might be my localization, but it doesn’t seem that bad to me, and I generally use duckduckgo. But forced localization is enough.
This won’t change as long as property ownership and property renting is unified. There’s just to much of a business incentive from renting, even if it takes decades to make it back. Worst that can happen is that it can sell it back to a market that criminalizes homelessness instead of treating it or its causes.
