That’s a perfectly acceptable plan, were it not that a laptop is much less handy. It’s cumbersome to use a laptop while standing in a crowded bus, for instance, that’s what a phone is good for.

Got any suggestions how to get started on that?
I guess they don’t want anonymous reasons for security reasons. Which is somehng I can understand
Like the citizens of Weimar (near concentration camp Buchenwald) said in april 1945: wir haben es nicht gewusst
Ich habe es nicht gewust
No not necessarily, but fighter dogs don’t let go. I’ve heard stories where they had to literally, full force kick a bulldog off of a cow or hit a bulldog with a shovel, repeatedly to make them let go of another dog to a point where the bulldog died form their injuries. Rottweilers are not a fighter breed though, so they don’t do that. They’re just equally intimidating looking, I guess.
It’s not that they’re vicious. Chihuahua’s are vicious. It’s that they can kill a child with a single bite in a single second of inattention. They’re the sweetest dogs you can imagine and usually great with kids as well. It’s the potential that makes them so dangerous.
I’d rather see us replacing train conductors. Why do we even need them? Why aren’t trains self driving? Trains regularly don’t drive due to personell shortages and they don’t drive in the middle of the night. Also trains are getting ridiculously expensive (in the Netherlands, due to privatisation) where self driving trains could be a solution to make trains affordable again.
I bet you saw them mentioned in the most recent Veritasium video?
I honestly appreciate the current scale of Lemmy. It feels nostalgic of oldskool forums or even oldskool reddit. But I can’t deny the a larger scale brings certain advantages that are almost essential for a modern online community. It also brings risks. I’m very curious to see where the future will lead lemmy and if it will be able to withstand the traps others haven fallen into.
This is one for the hall of fame, if you ask me

That just makes job hunting suck even more. Now you need to also check whether LinkedIn gets you hired or passed on.
In Europe? I would think there would be some European counsel to protest that…

If IANA has all two letter domains reserved for countries, than why is there no .uk?
Sundar Pichai is the admin for this community, didn’t you know?
I don’t think much has changed since then. There are still many services around that require an app, because it’s cool
