Honestly, this is why I’m hoping the Vsuon Pro doesn’t flop. It really feels like it could open the door to a new era. Of course, that’s still years away, but you’ve got to start somewhere. Better now than never.

I mean, there’s probably some workaround involving faking the microphone, right?
I would do a cool S.

Not quite, no encryption is truly irreversible (that’s the point). We’ve built quantum computers and we know how they work. We found weaknesses in the prime number generation that powers most encryption, so we’ve built around that.
In the ideal world these Chromium-based browsers would rebase into Ungoogled or something of the sort. But ofc that’s never happening, so I’d suggest getting ahead and setting things up on Firefox.
ATM I run Vivaldi and Firefox. Vivaldi is currently my main, but I also use FF quite often and will probably start try to switch away from Chromium in the future.
Actually, since it’s based off Chromium, I’m pretty sure(don’t quote me on this) that those changes will go downstream into most Chrome-based browsers automatically, unless they take the time to remove it manually.
Yeah, I’d imagine you’d want to adapt for different locales. Here in the US, MMDDYY is pretty ubiquitous, but I’m sure it’s different in other countries.
I’m guessing the UI designer accidentally put in DD/MM/YY, when the code handles the date as MM/DD/YY.
Maybe I’m the minority, but I’ve never really broken my Linux. Sure, it’s NixOS, so it’s a little more stable than many other distros, but still, I have a much better time with it than I do with Windows
But that doesn’t really give the creator any views, does it?
Public transport.
As OP stated, it’s still there, just barely visible. ¯_(ツ)_/¯
That’s actually…pretty well done, I saw that wallpaper and my first thought was forest fires.
Actually, you’re not really wrong.
All the more reason to give out limited data to all other instances. Why do these instances really need this data? Mastodon doesn’t need it, not quite sure why Lemmy does it.
Votes are the only real way currently to gauge opinion about the post itself. IMO, if the votes system is so bad that people are starting to completely disregard it, there’s something wrong.
That was what I was implying, yes.
Just hash each username and store it. Then just check the usernames hash to see if it matches.
Suggested method is to “install” the app: go to Settings, there’s an option to install the app as a PWA there.
This is mildly infuriating?
