Imagine having such a hard-on for letting corporations exploit your work in abusive Tivoized products that you stoop to retaliation against a company that’s actually trying to protect their customers.

They know it’s better than v2.

You’re right that actually talking to your representatives works surprisingly often, but sometimes it really blatantly doesn’t.
I know this isn’t the first article on this topic posted here today, but it is the first that could be legitimately crossposted from !theonion@midwest.social. Can you really blame me?
What the actual fuck? Those are all taught way before 10th grade here in the US, even in my ass-backwards state.
All posts must be peer reviewed
There’s a joke in here about recruiting Lemmy expert shitposters to peer-review post drafts themselves (as opposed to the scientific paper they link to), but I need somebody to suggest better phrasing.

the court would probably start from the position that you are actually infringing a valid patent (it was granted after all)…because there is the assumption that every claim is made in good faith
In other words, one big aspect of patent reform needs to be fixing the patent office itself so that it hires patent examiners who are actually competent to evaluate the applications for prior art.
GPLv3 is less proprietary than GPLv2, in the sense that it does a better job at protecting end-users from being abused by device makers that would try to close up their Linux-based system.
