Anti-semitism is a real thing, but Israel-Palestine has always made it harder to understand. If it is truly anti-religious or just questioning Israel gov’t and actions.

Seems like a smear of Musk for not siding with Israel and instead calling for a ceasefire or peace.
Looking at the talk Musk had with Lex Fridman.
Nice!
Was not expecting that, hahaha
Reminds me of tribalism talks.
Tribal Thinking
“This experiment demonstrates that our political pre-dispositions can strongly influence our numerical reasoning regardless of our political persuasion.”
Are Smart People Ruining Democracy? | Dan Kahan | TEDxVienna [13:05 | Dec 10, 2018 | TEDx Talks]
Tribalism: How to Be Part of the Solution, Not the Problem
Whether it’s race, religion, or politics, tribalism threatens all we hold dear. [July 31, 2022| John G. Cottone Ph.D. The Cube]
To keep our tribalist impulses in check, I believe we must regularly ask ourselves difficult questions:
Do I know how to recognize the propaganda of my own tribe, and resist it when I see it?
Do I recognize that every event can be viewed from multiple perspectives and that my tribe’s perspective is just one of many?
Do I pursue multiple perspectives on important issues with intellectual honesty — or do I only solicit my own tribe’s political perspective?
Do I call out members of my own tribe for bad behavior as often as I call out members of rival tribes — or do I rationalize and ignore their transgressions?
Do I have compassion for everyone on the road of truth, even those who are walking today where I walked yesterday?
Yes, FBI and the other agencies do have a lot of influece in everthing to do with gov’t/media.
Aaron Maté and Glenn Greenwald and some others report on FBI.
Matt Taibbi and twitter files also showed how social media companies and gov’t work together.
Yes, bad actors or testers of rules will always be a thing when discussing the best kind of topics.
Rules get updated also, so I know I need to keep a look out so as not to make simple mistakes within communties.
Thanks for adding further into your reason for posting!
Thanks for the help!
Thanks for bringing this up.
I do not see this type of post too often, which should be important when trying to be better than other social media.
Some sites hide comment or post behind a warning, sucks but better than deleting.
Yes, modlog is really bare bones.
Awesome to see this discussion continue, while also seeing many different views on this topic!
Thanks!
edit: links fixed
I did a quick search and found only these:
Not sure about neutral/pro/con of them though.
Thanks for pointing that out, I fixed it!
Oh, I remember seeing this a while back on the lemmy threads, thanks for the reminder!
Burner accounts for all! You get a burner and you get a burner and you as well!
Great talks and questions:

I did resolve the DNS issue I was having, but wording and post did not fit to original reason for post.
Thank you!
edit2: context
Thanks for sharing!
Looks like this is the norm now, Technofeudalism is here, goodbye capitalism.
Following the censorship over the years, looks similar to what happened with legacy media (main stream media).
Quote included in post:
“Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron’s cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.” — C.S. Lewis
In short, the Internet opened the door to a much larger, more diverse, and more vibrant world than I would have otherwise been able to experience; and enabled me to be an active participant in, and contributor to, that world. All of this helped me to learn, and to grow into a more well-rounded person.
In recent years, it seems like the whole world has become more ornery. Maybe that has something to do with the pandemic, or with political disagreements. Whatever the reason, people have become faster to attack, and slower to recognize each other’s shared humanity. One aspect of this has been a constant barrage of attacks on communication services, Omegle included, based on the behavior of a malicious subset of users.
Fear can be a valuable tool, guiding us away from danger. However, fear can also be a mental cage that keeps us from all of the things that make life worth living. Individuals and families must be allowed to strike the right balance for themselves, based on their own unique circumstances and needs. A world of mandatory fear is a world ruled by fear – a dark place indeed.
Unfortunately, what is right doesn’t always prevail. As much as I wish circumstances were different, the stress and expense of this fight – coupled with the existing stress and expense of operating Omegle, and fighting its misuse – are simply too much. Operating Omegle is no longer sustainable, financially nor psychologically. Frankly, I don’t want to have a heart attack in my 30s.
Reminds me of an independent running for president, he is also really big in supporting Israel, like the republican ones.
Not to be confused with the other candidates that are calling for peace, 3rd party ones.
Always great when bipartisanship works for endless wars.
Off topic thought I had when I saw this, more on the system being the problem.
This made me think of an interview with Richard Wolff and Lex Fridman.
Richard tries to explain his views on Marxism and Communism, #295.
He mentions problems with academia, and how it is tied to the corporate world.
Around 1:41:00, gov’t/academics/corporations are all tied together in keeping the same system going.
To try and get back to topic, it may have to do with the kind of people needed to excel in competitive areas like a university/company/government.
Less on taking care of people and more on competing with each other to be the best…
Reminds me of sports and the fierce environment it produces. Some people adapt and become like them or they feel isolated.
Well, looks to me like most of the land was taken before Hamas attack, now settlers take what is left of the land.
Herds of sheep being used to take land…
Taking land by building homes and communities on it is slow and expensive. Taking control of large swathes of dry hills needed to feed a herd of animals, by intimidating and isolating Palestinian shepherds and bringing in another herd, is much more efficient.
True, politics makes Musk a tribalist issue.
