Works (mostly) on lemmy desktop, neither Jerboa nor Voyager support automatic user linking.
@activistPnk@slrpnk.net…yep, works on desktop.

Just “spitballing” here…
If the message is edited for typos/grammatical errors, then there’s really no need for a notification as the message displays the posted time in italics (e.g., ✏ 9 hours ago).
If the message is so reworked as to say something else, “Bob” (your example) should do the right thing and post a new, separate reply to “Alice” in the same thread, donchathink?
I get what you’re saying though, that there should be some real integrity toward post/reply history, like diff
maybe.
UPDATE 06:11:54, CEST: lemmy.world gives the error page…
Error!
There was an error on the server. Try refreshing your browser. If that doesn’t work, come back at a later time. If the problem persists, you can seek help in the Lemmy support community or Lemmy Matrix room.

Thanks for that! I thought it was me. I’d just removed an offending post but looking at the community from another instance, unfortunately the post is still there (and still getting downvoted!).
With all due respect, have you actually visited !moderators@lemmy.world before? You will learn nothing there, unfortunately. There are four admins/moderators, 19 perfectly legitimate questions and not one reply to any of them.
Are there better options?
Honestly, that’s too subjective a question for me to answer. There are other options but I won’t say they’re drop-in replacements for what you’re used to. Each alternative comes with its own investment in time and effort, like setting up and learning new apps do. If that set-up works for you, rock and roll!
Out of curiosity, @0jcis@sh.itjust.works, what alternatives did you try before settling on Resolve/WIne?
You mean tar and gzip?
