I’m convinced that media that keep saying this are in cahoots with advertisers who have noticed this ages ago and have astroturfed Reddit beyond being reliable source of information since then.
I think publishers were involved but those services are the lowest priority so I wouldn’t look into it that much.
Yes, but is it made out of alumunulum?
Those caps are a way to cull the weakest parts of society. I too have hurt my dick on them but have learned to deal with them.
Just pointing out that you made the reason for ban so vague that this fits the description.
OP said that Olsen twins in Full House were unfuckable because they were too old by then.
Disproving them won’t even change antivaxer minds but it’s more about not being caught off-guard by bullshit. Education won’t fix it either. Those magical thinking movements are built on ruling elites being being proven untrustworthy time and time again.
It takes no effort to come up with made up antivax lines of reasoning since they don’t have to be true. Disproving them takes much more effort so it’s worth knowing the most common ones.
Its not going to be hardware level lock but linked to Apple ID region. For some it will definitely be worth jumping through some hoops but I think 99% will bail at having to arrange payment method that confirms their EU residency.
You’re clearly mistaken, Lemmy devs fixed it: https://github.com/LemmyNet/lemmy/issues/4288

With FB and every other instance. Are you vetting who has controlling stake in every instance you federate with?

What an infuriating UI design, red for federated and green for blocked?
Either way, thanks for a useful link since my instance admin blocked Threads for whatever reason and I needed to find a new one. Cheers!
Guy wanted to vent about smart thermostats, explicitly said he doesn’t need advice and got bajillion responses with advice, mostly from FOSS folks who couldn’t contain themselves. I’d be annoyed too.
What do you use Facebook for?
In terms of replacements with somewhat close feature sets there’s Friendica. It’s ActivityPub based like Lemmy and Mastodon. But ultimately it’s usually about people and groups you interact with and they probably won’t be there.
Sam Bankman-Fried must have tried this and succeeded.
Please don’t jump to conclusions yet. This has been observed in European common frogs so if your advances towards, say, Tasmanian toad, have been refused and the toad appears to be dead, it might be, in fact, dead.

If you haven’t played them at the time they were released you are less likely to realise how far ahead of time they when it comes to various themes they covered. People notice this only after the thing Kojima predicted happens. Most recent and obvious example would be Death Stranding being released months before pandemic begun while the whole game is about a delivery man in a world where nobody can go outside. MGS2 was so far out when it comes to then upcoming intertwining politics and memes it requires at least an essay to properly describe. But when it clicks, it clicks.
