What about the content generators who earn their living from Tik Tok? Banning it is not the solution to fixing the problems with it.

In Utah they’re so frightened of social media that they have made it almost impossible for any social media companies to thrive here. Tik Tok is now in their crosshairs because it’s the fashionable GOP target, but previously it was facebook and the internet in general. Now they’ve passed laws to restrict internet usage for anyone under 21 - on the off chance some kid might see a cartoon of a bare butt or something, and their head might explode.
AI could be a creative tool for good, in the right hands; unfortunately, most people will use it to produce crap and to spread sick disinformation that, in many cases, will be libelous if not downright corrupt. The art of persuasion should have guardrails because, essentially, most people are pimps who stink excuses.
I get it, I was banned from Reddit for saying that being progressive was a good thing. That was just dandy. I consider it a badge of honor to have pissed them off so royally.
Maybe they can read and wished to start all over again from the egg.
To an AI brain, that makes sense. Your first priority is always going to be eradicating any potential disruptors or human interference. They tried this out with an AI military gun a while back, and it ended badly with the gun aiming at humans and trying to mow them down (though the creator said, Oh don’t worry, it won’t do that). It did. And it obviously wanted the humans gone as fast as possible. It could see the threat immediately.
And yet Jesus as a symbol represents ALL people, not just straight, masculine, or white people. Why can’t he be represented this way? Also I beg to differ that there is anything “erotic” about this picture, other than his having a nice chest. His face is weird, and far too feminine to represent any kind of ideal to gay people (at least not to me. As a gay man, I’m not much interested in feminine men).
Makes me feel more appreciative of what we have left of democracy here in the U.S.
I’ve heard it said that the brain doesn’t distinguish between a real event and an imagined one. Now before you poise your digits with acerbic comebacks, allow yourself a second to think that over.
When you dream, it’s a form of reality for your brain. It believes what is unfolding is actually happening, your pulse may quicken, your heart rate can increase, you can even have a kind of discharge from your male parts if it is realistic enough.
Of course all sweeping generalizations have exceptions and I’m not saying I don’t see how the brain makes clear distinctions between dreams and waking states. What I’m saying is, BOTH dreaming and waking experiences are all parts of what we call “reality.” The dream state is real enough to make our body react according to what is going on our heads.
Just something to think about. The above statement was read to me by a piano teacher who was endeavoring to show me how imagination can make something reality, how thinking about the mood of a piece could make me a better piano player by utiliziing internal imagery.
REAAALLYY? Unlikely to be “free and fair?” Wow talk about going way out on a limb with a crazy prediction! I can make the same prediction with 100 percent accuracy with absolute certainty. Of course there is never going to be a free or fair election in Pakistan, it just isn’t ever going to happen in human history.
I’d really like to try a bidet - as unmanly as that may sound. I’d feel much cleaner and my butthole could sparkle in the sunlight.
It probably is better for the septic tank, but so would be wiping yourself with your bare hand for that matter. And I’m not sure you’d notice the difference from using one-ply paper.
Hmmm, reusable cubes. I hadn’t considered that, I want some!!
It better be made out of gold with massaging purple ass cushions, at that price.
Which in America, we call snails with dirt.
Actual plywood might have worked better (!). I hate one-ply and I have a whole shitload of it because I bought it on sale without realizing it was one ply. Only good thing I can say about it is, ---- OK there’s nothing good I can say about it.
Cheap one ply toilet paper will make you question whether there really is a god or not. I’d sooner wipe my backside with a corn cob.
Sounds nice, I’m looking at buying a new fridge and they aren’t that expensive, but it’s worth it for the icemaker alone, I love ice water also (and tons of ice in my diet coke!). Living in Utah, the colder and wetter something is, the better. The air here makes your throat parched, so it’s great to have that ice water pretty much year round.
A refrigerator with a good ice maker is worth the extra expense. Our ice maker just gave out, and I’d forgotten how much a pain in the butt it is to make ice in plastic trays.
Having seen a solar eclipse back in 2017, I can say it was truly an spectacle. But I don’t see traveling anywhere just to see another one - I mean it’s interesting, but it lasts maybe two minutes and then it’s over and back to normal. And I don’t see spending all that money when you can get the best view of it watching news coverage on TV.
