Still need PayPal for some transactions that require a credit card. In the Netherlands, credit cards aren’t as commonplace as in the USA since we only pay with money we actually have.

I’m not saying I discredit your argument, I’m just angry at companies requiring either a credit card or PayPal (or even worse, those buy now pay later deals).

When I worked 32 hours at my first job I took out the Wednesday. It’s a great rhythm to get into, two days of work and a day or two in between.

I think I need to read up on the fediverse a bit more. Technically it looks like anything in the fediverse at the moment is ActivityPub, even though it supports 3 more protocols. At this point, only Hubzilla uses something other than ActivityPub, even though it also makes use of AP. I was confused because Matrix is also an open protocol and also federated. I had figured everything federated could talk to each other underneath… That’d be the dream, right?

Look, for these guys, and all those F2 talents waiting in the wings for a seat to open up, you don’t really have to feel sorry for them. Yes, F1 is the dream and they are tantalisingly close. But they’ll still get to race very powerful machines so many other occasions (and earn a pretty penny at that).

I think what we’re seeing is a nervous first lap Lando. McLaren has two very promising young drivers, but that means a lack of driver experience. That’s why Leclerc won today, he’s been around a bit longer. Once Lando and Oscar start regularly winning races, I think you’ll see them improve a lot. I just hope for them that their car will still be competitive when they get there.

I’ve been a huge fan of Oscar since he joined Prema in F3. His racecraft and overall personality make him the type of driver that can take it really far.

It’s something I also thought I’d see in Dennis Hauger, sadly his F2 run has been disappointing compared to Oscar’s.

I hope you’re right but Lando is not over his peak. I just hope he drops this sad sack attitude of undervalueing his performance. I understand he still has a lot to win but the way he talks, the way he looks so unhappy, this will be his undoing if he keeps it up.

It’s simple, really. When Hamilton was dominant, everyone wanted Verstappen to go get him. Now that the paradigm has shifted, we look at Lando hoping Max’s reign is over. After that, we will look at some new guy who has to dethrone Lando.

Lando can only hope to win a couple world titles before this next one comes along.

Oh and Lando vs Oscar can turn into a real Hamilton Rosberg situation so I’m looking forward to that. I have yet to see Oscar phased about anything yet though.

I think that really depends on the news site. News from my country is very well suited for RSS.

It’s a tough world. To just get to F1, Logan has worked so hard. And then to have such a run of it is rough. I hope he will have a lot of success in other classes of racing.

I think what you’re describing is the need for RSS feeds. Generally, news outlets categorise their articles neatly so you subscribe with RSS to only headlines, or world events, or whatever. It requires you to have a look around the news site in question and setup RSS correctly.

The other neat thing is that you can read all your RSS feeds (ie multiple news sites) in one reader and there are tons of custom RSS apps.

I share your disdain for gossip and mainstream money grab promo. And ads. My god how much do ads suck.

Been sorting new all my life on reddit and I’ve been using Boost forever so now I use Boost and sort by new. I enjoy not seeing the same shit over and over.
