To add to how scary prions are, you can’t really cure them, and when the prions get on a surface, it’s extremely difficult to sanitize that surface in a way that will destroy the prions. A lot of techniques that kill bacteria or even viruses like alcohol won’t work on them. Heat works but you have to make it extremely hot, much hotter than what’s needed to kill something like a bacteria.

1. Import the stl
2. edit the default cube so it overlaps the part of the stl you want to delete
3. add a “boolean” modifier to the stl that is set to “subtract” the cube
4. apply modifier
5. export as stl

Inkscape is for vector graphics, GIMP is for pixel graphics. You probably want to use a combination of both for many situations (design the logo in Inkscape, touch it up and scale it in GIMP).

From my experience, GIMP is close to par with Photoshop in terms of both features and user friendliness. Inkscape is unfortunately much harder to use than Illustrator.

Not significantly contributing to the global problem, but you might inhale some. Don’t sand your prints for sure.
