The problem was not the fan, it was how the actress reacted.

So you’re saying that some of the answers are flat out lies like in your example?
So that’s either true in practice, in which case there’s no problem putting the candidates’ views there, since they represent the party too; or it’s false in practice, in which case the candidates’ views should be there, because that’s who you’re voting for.
It’s a comparison between Harris and Trump, not between the parties.
I’ve been in Honolulu this past week and saw loud Trump supporter caravans going through the city twice, loud group of Trump supporters in front of the state capitol, and another one I don’t remember where. Not sure what they’re trying to achieve with all this.
At least triple the price in my area. 4x if the schools are good.
Two men walking in the bar and going straight to the bathroom together. Man jumped to conclusions.
Yes, there are people with well argumented reasons against loosening immigration laws or giving more rights to illegal immigrants. But it is a fact that there is a large number or immigrants who oppose them simply for the reason that others shouldn’t get what they got without going through the same hard work. I’ve seen very angry groups of immigrants opposing drivers licenses for illegal immigrants for just that reason. It wasn’t about best of the best or extraordinary ability.
Same for student loan forgiveness. There are a lot of people who oppose it just because “it isn’t fair” that they had to pay theirs and others wouldn’t.
I think that logic is flawed and petty.
I personally have not much stake in the matter. I’m a legal immigrant, doing one of those jobs that required proof that I’m highly qualified. And I got to be highly qualified for free because I didn’t study in the US.
Immigration was hard for me, so it should be hard for others too.
Same sentiment as being against student loan forgiveness because you already paid yours off.
There are definitely different prices when I’m logged in vs when I’m not. My wife sends me a links to products, and I usually open any link in incognito windows. Several times I was not seeing the same price as her. Opening the same link on my account would show the same price.
I play Minecraft with my kids, but I don’t use a Microsoft account for it. Just PollyMC and host my own server.
Hallucinations are an issue for generative AI. This is a classification problem, not gen AI. This type of use for AI predates gen AI by many years. What you describe is called a false positive, not a hallucination.
For this type of problem you use AI to narrow down a set to a more manageable size. e.g. you have tens of thousands of images and the AI identifies a few dozen that are likely what you’re looking for. Humans would have taken forever to manually review all those images. Instead you have humans verifying just the reduced set, and confirming the findings through further investigation.
Not sure what that’s supposed to help with. I’d be even more uncomfortable if my steak had eyes and made eye contact than when a person does it.
Make a large enough model, and it will seem like an intelligent being.
That was already true in previous paradigms. A non-fuzzy non-neural-network algorithm large and complex enough will seem like an intelligent being. But “large enough” is beyond our resources and processing time for each response would be too long.
And then you get into the Chinese room problem. Is there a difference between seems intelligent and is intelligent?
But the main difference between an actual intelligence and various algorithms, LLMs included, is that intelligence works on its own, it’s always thinking, it doesn’t only react to external prompts. You ask a question, you get an answer, but the question remains at the back of its mind, and it might come back to you 10min later and say you know, I’ve given it some more thought and I think it’s actually like this.
Remember to look into his eyes
I don’t know if it’s some neurodivergence or if other introverts feel the same way, but that is something I personally find very difficult and uncomfortable and I can’t hold eye contact for more than a second or two at a time. What feels natural to me is to look at a person’s mouth when they talk.
They are effective, but in the other direction. I wouldn’t be surprised if they’re funded by fossil fuel companies.
Somewhere on the vertical axis. 0 on the horizontal. The AGI angle is just to attract more funding. We are nowhere close to figuring out the first steps towards strong AI. LLMs can do impressive things and have their uses, but they have nothing to do with AGI
I saw the post yesterday and checked. Several on my forearm, but not one in that spot.
I just checked again when I saw this post. There’s a tiny one in that exact spot. I swear it wasn’t there yesterday.
How about a voting license that needs to be renewed every 30 years? You have to pass a test that checks if you are capable of thinking objectively or something like that.
Any type of criteria that is not absolute (like age), can and will be used to exclude certain groups of people from voting.
That’s what I don’t get. Transporting fresh sperm is not an issue that anyone cares about in space colonization. Sperm will get there in two ways: frozen or made on the spot.
