Personally, I love Bludit as it is really simple, flat-file and perfect for blogging.

However, you could also look into WriteFreely if you want something with ActivityPub (= Fediverse). Feature wise very very plain and simple, but might noch give you most of the bells and whistles as other platforms would do it. Think of it as an alternative to “Medium”.

Afaik, Freecad has an architecture module/plugin.

I read about this quite some time ago. Seems like they found out, that this doesn’t really make a difference in reading speed or comprehension. “Byonic reading” is basically just homeopathy for formating texts.

Posts like the one in the picture works for various other reasons - just not because of formatting. They are advertisements, as “bionic reading” is a proprietary solution.

OP could setup remotes in a way that they can be synced via VPN which could probably fit the “holiday” usecase. It wouldn’t be a “everything is up in the cloud in realtime” kind of situation, but syncing up in the evening when you are out of home for a couple of days should be painless enough.
